Card stacking is one of many types of artwork that, unlike paintings and photographs, is not meant to last. When it comes to card stacking, this is usually the case. A traditional house of cards tower, on the other hand, is a piece of cake in comparison to these eccentric and long-lasting sculptures, even though the latter’s difficulty is exaggerated. Bryan Berg, a visual artist, has held the Guinness World Record for the Tallest House Made of Freestanding Playing Cards since 1992. In 2009, the car manufacturer Lexus tasked Bryan Berg with designing a city that would house a running Lexus ES. The project’s goal was to highlight the refined nature of the engine in the new model.
